There are a lot of other things that are
important that are bigger wildcards, but just as formulaic than
standardized tests. 1. Essays-
Admissions essays are like sales pitches. Not all of us are
essay writers, but we do need to put ourselves on paper. My
suggestion is that you get all of yourself on paper. Write as
much as you can and then have other people read it and see what
they find compelling.
2. Do not let others over edit, but do
make sure you don't have any grammatical errors. I think
admissions officers have a million pet peeves now about
misspelled words or improper grammar because they are reading
amateur essays all day.

It is perfectly legal and it won't hurt as long as you make sure
the end product still sounds like you! I myself didn't use essay
edge, but I also didn't get into my early school and so I can't
really tell you if it works or not.
