Jan 23, 2007 - Winter Blues

I am barely getting used to writing 2007 and already it is obvious how different the new year is going to be. I returned from Winter break and shortly afterwards, found how quickly things can change.

Out of a school of nearly three hundred, there is not usually a gigantic repetition of names. Of course you see several people named some of the more common things, but overall most people’s names rarely overlap. However, my name was one of those names.

In our junior class, there was a Kate O’Brien. She was tall with curly brown hair, tan skin and a large white smile. Overall she was very attractive and popular and resided in one of the more exclusive dorms on campus. The day after Martin Luther King day, I talked to one of the teachers, who happened to be her advisor. He mentioned that she had left to attend one of our rival day schools. I asked him ‘why?’ and he said that he guesses she just wasn’t happy here. I hadn’t really known her so this news didn’t really concern me too much.

SHOUT OUTS TO! Saint Mary's Ascot Girls, Cheltenham Ladies, Bennerz girls and my favourtie Etonians for their overwhelming support in keeping me sane at boarding school. Luving the Uzis and Textbooks! Keep it real boys - remember, it aint easy being an Etonian, let alone an Etonian rapper. Sometimes it's like being on Death Row! Also shout outs to all the girls who write in to askcalypso@calypsochronicles.com who are headed to boarding school (having realised that day school is just too dreary and desolate for words) - and where's the fun in pissing off the bursar at a day school darlings? Boarders everywhere, there is no end to your brilliance!
HAPPY St VALENTINE'S DAY & Happy Half Term! Oh to be home where I can prank call, IMS and be free of housespinsters etc. They told us to destress before they strike us down with more exams on our return so we are all partying like mentalists. Enjoying oneself without the tethers of rules is feverishly stressful actually. Bouji doormen are lovely kittens and I won't have a word said against them. Just thought I say that so they'd let us in Friday. On a more serious note exam fever and lack of St V cards has brought out an immature streak in all of us according to our house spinster, Miss Bibsmore whose rheumatism is playing up something criminal. As you know I've been channelling all things French, and I am becoming alarmingly brainy. Expect to do tres, tres brilliantly in French even though our New French teacher called me a ditzy airhair? Airhair?

Now back to prank calling. I'd like some blog action on that one actually - press the blog bunny at www.calypsochronicles.com
IE; is two am on a school night too late to prank call a boy? Star says at their age they can take a knock. Freds has taken to turning his phone off which I think is very unsporting especially for the future heir to the throne.

My fantasy love life is completely in the merde! Alex Pettyfer still hasn't declared his undying love for me! THE FOOL! But as Miss Bibsmore is always reminding me "time's on your side Kelly, unlike my poor rheumatic self."
