Meine Reise nach Deutschland - My trip to Germany PICTURESHalo! meine Name ist Tanya! Willst du irgendwan einmal nach Deutschland reisen? Es ist eine gute Idee. - Hello, My name is Tanya! Do you want to visit Germany sometime? It is a good Idea. Let me tell you why I think you should go by telling you about my experience there....... I have gone to Germany often, but I have revisited the same places in Bavaria over and over again. My brother Alex is three years younger than me and really enjoyed Playmobileland near the city of Nuremburg, but as we grew older it became less of an attraction. So be warned: for younger kids like U 10 yr olds it will be fun, but very tiring for the adults. It is huge and there will be walking required. There are golf courts, jungle gyms and water spouts. A huge pirate ship and fortress are great for exploring and various ice cream stands are scattered about so you can rest your feet while eat eating an "einfach Magnum"(simply Magnum- an ice cream offered at every store) Trust me; It is a great way to tire the little kids out. There are also some lakes in Bavaria that can make a nice outing in the summer. Rent a boat or just relax on the grass. I love to swim so I had a great time, but it will be more fun to bring a picnic to places like this because German tourist food in my opinion is terrible especially when compared to the local cooking. There are people from all over at these lakes. Usually from different part of Germany, but also other European countries as well as Asians and Americans. At these lakes on the week end there will usually be this bungee trampoline which, depending on the circumstances will range from 5-15 min per 5$. Even if you are upset about the price, I suggest letting the children have a go on it. I had so much fun and I even tried some flips and I could soar over 20 ft off the ground. It was completely safe though: no worries. Lastly, for the Tourist attractions I thought the Roedelbahn was fun. They have them in Winter and Summer and it is like a little rollercoaster/sled ride. Those are the fun things not including the public pools they have with water slides. There are of course many other things I shall leave for you to discover yourself, but I will give you some hints on german food. Take a bike ride! There are may fun paths and these bike rides will undoubtedly lead you to a local restaurant where they serve delicious low-priced german food. Some of my favorites are Schnitzel and Kartofelsalat (fried pork and potato salad), Schweinebraten und Kloss mit Soss ( roast pork and potato dumplings with sauce), and Bratwurst mit Saurkraut (sausages and sauerkraut). There are many different tortes and cakes to choose from. Plus, ice cream shops sell scoops for between .50 and .70 Euro, while chocolates like Rittersport and Milka are dirt cheap. Stock Up! Take a ride on the U-bahn into the stadt where there are some amazing churches and old buildings along with fountains and statues galore. There are tons of stores and plenty to see. Everything can be reached without a car once your there. Do NOT eat at McDonalds even though you might feel tempted to return to the familiar, the food is even worse, but more expensive than in the U.S. Instead, maybe try one of the many Turkish or Italian Restaurants. Lastly, I forgot to mention Palm Beach, an indoor waterslide park which is a blast for all ages, from 1-79. If you are going to travel far in Germany, try taking the train. It is much more fun for kids because they can get up and move around. There is also a restaurant on the train to get food and snacks! Trains in Germany are very clean and they are always on time, so be careful not to mis your train. They also have Rail Europe: Specials & Promotions for families. Some tips-
