I only had to take the SATs once and I got a near perfect. My secret is simple: The PSATs and collegeboard resources. 1. Collegeboard makes the SATs, so I signed up for their question of the day. It gets you into that way of thinking every day. It's not a big deal, but its a lot of practice. sign up!
2. Try an online course or buy an SAT prep
book. Believe me, practice does help. Peterson's Online Course for the SAT.
3. Study those vocab words! My worst section went from a 640 my freshman year on a practice test, to a perfect. I was not prepared for the vocabulary questions, or the way they appeared. So, every day, my friend and I went through the list of common SAT words and sent each other a list of 5 with definitions. If you do it with a friend, you have a safeguard against your own forgetfullness. this website is free click here. 4. Lastly, get a good night sleep. Eat a carbolicious breakfast. I think I had oatmeal and a couple sips of Ice tea to clear my head from the groggy morning stuff. Try to have less sugar and more grains. 5. For the essay- handwriting, length, 3 examples are important. I couldn't finish my essay and I didn't do as well as I should have. |
